Privacy information

Information about the personal data used to respond to enquiries and provide website account services.

Who is responsible for your information?

Twelvebit Technology Ltd, trading on this website as twelvebit, is the contact for information you provide through this website. Our company number is 14829331 and our registered office is 167–169 Great Portland Street, Fifth Floor, London, England, W1W 5PF. For privacy enquiries, email hello@twelvebit.io.

Contact enquiries

The contact form collects your name, email address and message. We use these details to read and respond to your enquiry, discuss a proposed engagement and keep a record of the conversation. Depending on the enquiry, this is to take steps at your request before entering a contract or for our legitimate interest in responding to business correspondence.

The form sends these details to our contact mailbox through Resend, our email delivery provider. Do not include passwords, private keys or sensitive information that is unnecessary for the enquiry.

Accounts and payments

If you register or sign in, account services use your name, email address and authentication details. Where you choose a third-party sign-in provider, such as Google or GitHub, the sign-in process supplies the profile information needed to identify your account. Account data can include a profile image, verification status and session information.

For paid account services, Stripe handles checkout and payment processing. Account records can include the associated customer and subscription identifiers, plan, billing period, currency and payment status. We use this information to administer the service and billing. Payment card entry takes place through the payment provider’s checkout.

These uses support the provision and administration of account services, including security and records associated with a contract. Hosting, database, email, authentication and payment providers process the information necessary for their respective functions.

Cookies and browser storage

Sign-in uses cookies to maintain authentication and protect the sign-in flow. The website also stores display preferences in your browser. Account features may store settings for that account’s tools locally. You can clear cookies and browser storage through your browser settings; doing so may sign you out or reset preferences.

Retention and service providers

We retain enquiry information according to whether it is needed to respond to the conversation, manage an engagement or maintain relevant business records. Account and billing records are retained according to the active service, applicable recordkeeping requirements and the need to resolve disputes. Contact us for information about the retention applicable to your records.

Some service providers may process information outside the UK. You can ask us which providers, processing locations and transfer safeguards apply to the service you use. Project agreements may include additional information about processing undertaken for a client.

Your choices and rights

You can contact us to request access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction or portability where the relevant right applies. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interests. If processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent. We may need information to verify your identity before responding to a request.

Providing enquiry information is optional, but we need an email address and enough context to respond. Required account or checkout details are needed to provide the requested service.

If you have a concern, contact us first so we can address it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK.
